French Toast With Spicy Apple Cherry CompoteJuly 11, 2016
1 tin Bing cherries, pitted
1/2 tsp. TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce
3 Tbsp. Brown sugar
1/2 cup Maple syrup
1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
4 ea. Eggs
2 cups Milk
1/4 cup Sugar
1 Tbsp. Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce
8 slices French bread, cut into 1" slices
1. To prepare the Cherries, add all the ingredients and cook until you have a nice syrupy liquid.
2. To prepare French Toast, beat eggs in bowl. Add the milk, cinnamon, sugar, and Original TABASCO® Pepper Sauce. Mix well. Transfer to shallow dish. Soak bread on both sides until saturated.
3. Fry in skillet over medium heat(do not over crowd the skillet). Cook until golden brown, and then turn bread. Cut into quarters.
4. For each serving, place French Toast on plate and spoon the Cherries over it.
